Amalfi, Italy

This was a common view around the tiny yet touristy town of Amalfi on the coast of Italy. Swarms of tourists straight off the cruise ship docked in the bay. We were quite perplexed as to why everyone needs to dress up so much for a day trip around the shops.
Our trip to Italy was excellent, much more than we expected – being welcomed by everyone in the small country towns after establishing the family links. A few days of broken translations and an insight into the real Italian life.. along with lots of delicious pasta.
More photos as soon as I get around to putting them up…

Welcoming the summer…

The drummers starting the night for the Beltane festival. Ironically enough it was the coldest night of the year, but once the rituals began it was soon forgotten. A mix of marching, drummers, dancers, banners, chanting and silhouetted chaos. A nice way to welcome the Green Man and the spring/summer ahead
